Overview

Bonnie Young, intrepid explorer and researcher for Donna Karan, presented her photographs that had brought the colours and patterns of global tribes to the collections of one of the world's leading fashion designers. The book, organized by colour, ranging from the blues of China, through the reds of the monasteries of Tibet, the ambers of Mali, the indigo of the Saharan Tuaregs, to the yellows and wine purples of the Woodabe people of Niger and the green and greys of Vietnam, allso recorded were the finer details of handmade textiles, jewels, painted faces, houses, doors and the natural environment.
