Overview
The bottle I designed with Zaha Hadid was the inspiration for this campaign, echoing and exploring the sensual shapes of a woman’s body to express her strength and her beauty. The woman was always at the core of the Donna Karan brand, and this campaign was yet another iteration of the juxtaposition of body and sculpture established by Stephen Weiss, Donna’s sculptor husband, who was the artist behind the original fragrance bottles. Campaign photographed and directed by Inez & Vinoodh.
Cashmere was always Donna Karan’s preferred fabric. She was drawn to it for its strength, warmth, and sensual touch against the skin. This campaign was the embodiment of the enveloping feeling of cashmere. Directed by Peter Lindbergh.
